Big Block 454 In Depth
The Big Block 454 clone from FastTech what can I say, well I did not expect much for $10.61 USD which is about £6.60 GBP, Well how wrong can you be.
Packaging and Contents.
Sturdy plain black box with Good quality hard felt separators.
Drip Tip, Atomizer, Spare O rings, Spare Screws, Mini Screw driver, Bit of rubbish coils and silica wick.
Building The Big Block 454 with Quad Coils.
I have build many Quad coils but this was defiantly made easier by the way the negative connection works on the deck with the metal ring that goes around all 4 negative securing screws, and the positive post having decent sized quad holes drilled into the center post. It is still a fiddly job but what do you expect with any quad coil build.
Performance.
Well you can expect nice clouds if that is what you are into but also loads of flavour which you simply can argue with at this price point.

I actually quite like this RDA for flavour especially with a vertical quad coil build running at 0.5ohms. I can vary the taste dramatically to suit my needs by using my VW device – have found a sweet spot at around 50W on this – the airflow is sufficient to keep the coils cool enough and provide a lot more draw than my backup for flavour (the magma). The pros are that when it works it works well but to get it to work you have to work hard at it (if that makes any sense!) – trying to wick those four micro coils is an art in itself (even with jap cotton narrowly cut i was having problems pulling them through into the juice wells) – got there about after about an hour of fiddling but not looking forward to having to rewick again. The only way I found i could do this on a vertical build was to lift the coils right up and push them back down again once wicked. Not ideal for keeping the resistances easily matched for each coil!
Would like to see another similar design but with an easier way to build on it and I did notice that I also had a lot of trouble pushing the base back into the main body after building and wicking (I do believe part of the clear silicone ring came off doing so (luckily there is a spare in the pack) but it shouldn’t have started to shred so early on (after pushing the base back in 3 times)
Overall build quality needs to be improved but great flavour if you have the time to get it working. Regarding the positive pin – I’m running mine on my Sigelei 100 so not had any issues other than having to adjust the copper 510 connection to fit

Great value, very good vape, worth the money for the hour or so of frustrating entertainment building this for the first time gives alone
