Pros

  • Great Prices
  • Lots of options
  • Easy fire switch
  • Plenty of adjustment For Batteries and for Atomisers
  • Fast delivery
  • Deep Engraving/Milling
  • Both top and bottom cap engraved
  • Smooth threads

Cons

  • We really could not find anthing to say so this was all we could muster, When using an Efest button top and an atty with a long 510 there was not enough adjustement 🙂

The Celt mechanical mod is a new device from Vape Tornado. It is designed in the UK and made in Bulgaria, not a place that immediately springs to mind when you think of quality machining but these might just challenge people’s preconceptions.
Available in copper or stainless steel, each set comprises three full size battery tubes (18650, 18490/500 and 18350) a top cap and switch all of which are heavily engraved.
Unusually each tube has a different design engraved on it, which means that not only can you change the size of your mod but also its look.
The copper used has a small amount of brass in the mix which creates a harder alloy with all the conductivity and looks that you would expect from copper, but with added durability. The steel mod is made from 304 food grade material.
Both mods come in a pleasant lightly brushed finish with the heavy engraving helping to accentuate the thickness of the metals used.[metaslider id=125]
The top cap is a solid piece of metal engraved in a celtic style on its face and drilled and threaded for 510 connection atomizers, there is the familiar telescoping positive pin arrangement mounted in this which enables you to first make contact with your atty and then wind out the telescoping pin to make contact with your battery.
By far the heaviest component of the switch is the locking ring which is thick disc of metal reverse threaded and carrying a satisfying inertia when spun to lock. The switch has a light spring which has the right balance between ease of use and not allowing your mod to auto fire when stood unlocked on it’s base. Though slightly graunchy when pushed on the edge of the engraved plate, the switch will operate wherever you push it which is always a bonus.
All in all these are well made items with an interesting look and a reassuring weight, the only issue I have with them is that 18650 nipple top Efest batteries whilst still working are a little too long to allow everything to screw together nicely, anything else I’ve used though has fit just fine.

I ordered the Stainless Steel 3 tube piece set with an extra V2 switch and top cap (I was also sent a V1 switch too) and I have to say I absolutely love this mod. The switch works like a dream and battery rattle is kept to a minimum with the nice little adjustment pin on the top cap.

Performance is really good – I haven’t noticed much voltage drop (even using the stainless steel version) and switch is great works like a dream and battery rattle is kept to a minimum with the nice little adjustment pin on the top cap. All my atties I have tried so far – Doge, Samurai, Derringer, Troll etc all fit flush with the topcap.

Looks wise – really nice engraving for and different patterns for each tube size. I actually bought my first pair of 18500 batteries specifically mod. Threads are like butter – really smooth. Looks and feels like a much more expensive mod than the price I paid for it.

Overall I love the Celt definitely money well spent and I have since retired my all my other mech mods apart from my Manhattan clone but even that is used very rarely now.

Also the delivery and customer service was spot on!
